A BLOG ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WEATHER, Welcome to the MadWeather Blog! We have two basic rules for this blog:
WEATHER FORECASTING & OBSERVING, AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS
(1) Debate and discussion should be civil.
(2) Because public discussion, regardless of the topic,
is not very effective if we don't know who is talking to whom,
MadWeather does not accept anonymous posts.

Dusty Skies This Morning
Yesterday's strong front brought winds of 25 to 40 mph during the afternoon, along with more blowing dust. Lots of suspended dust still hanging in the sky this morning, as per above view of Catalinas shows.

The Front Range snowstorm yesterday morning took down lots of limbs, since the leaves were still on the trees up there (see two photos below from Loveland). The trees then took out power lines, so quite a mess. My son reported the power was still out at his place in Loveland late afternoon yesterday.
