Shown above is the June 8, 2004, transit of Venus across the face of the sun (photo by Jim Tiller, Daytona Beach News-Journal/AP). This week's transit on the 5th and 6th was the last time this phenomena will occur for over a century, with the next transit during 2117. So, if you missed it, you missed it.
