A BLOG ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WEATHER, Welcome to the MadWeather Blog! We have two basic rules for this blog:
WEATHER FORECASTING & OBSERVING, AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS
(1) Debate and discussion should be civil.
(2) Because public discussion, regardless of the topic,
is not very effective if we don't know who is talking to whom,
MadWeather does not accept anonymous posts.

Couple More Reports From Yesterday
Ron Holle sent the above photo of the gust front, with blowing dust, approaching Oro Valley yesterday evening. He reported gusts of about 60 mph, but only 0.17" of rain.
Jim Toth reported 1.06" of rain a couple of miles northwest of here, along with gusts of about 40 mph.
When I was out this morning I saw several large trees down that had taken power lines with them - crews were working to get the trees cut up and clear the lines. This was along Prince just east of Campbell.
