A BLOG ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WEATHER, Welcome to the MadWeather Blog! We have two basic rules for this blog:
WEATHER FORECASTING & OBSERVING, AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS
(1) Debate and discussion should be civil.
(2) Because public discussion, regardless of the topic,
is not very effective if we don't know who is talking to whom,
MadWeather does not accept anonymous posts.

Showers Have Continued
This morning (Sunday, December 16th) at daybreak showers are occurring over the southeastern part of the metro area - as per TUS radar composite image above. Here at the house showers continued during the day yesterday and continued last night adding another ) 0.13" to the rain gauge. Thus, the total for the multi-phased event has added up to 0.82" as of 7 am this morning.
Considerable snowiness across the mountains of the West, as indicated by Jack Hales' web cam array - link at the right. View below is of Cloudcroft, New Mexico, at about 7 am this morning. Cars seem to be clustered near the Western Bar - probably snowed-in.
