Thunderstorms Along New Mexico Border

Thunderstorms this afternoon -as per 2145 UTC visible satellite image above - over southwestern New Mexico and south of the White Mountains. Earlier this afternoon a number of lightning strikes were detected, extending into Arizona. These storms are producing little rain, so the dry lightning poses a fire threat.
