Tropical Storm Andrea Forms
The NHC has named TS Andrea, located somewhere along the west edge of the convection over the Gulf of Mexico (see 2315 UTC IR image above), based on an aircraft investigation. The first NHC forecast for Andrea is shown below. The storm is not expected to strengthen as it moves northeastward across Florida and long the east coast. The storm will likely produce heavy rains.
