A BLOG ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WEATHER, Welcome to the MadWeather Blog! We have two basic rules for this blog:
WEATHER FORECASTING & OBSERVING, AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS
(1) Debate and discussion should be civil.
(2) Because public discussion, regardless of the topic,
is not very effective if we don't know who is talking to whom,
MadWeather does not accept anonymous posts.

Severe Thunderstorm Wind Gusts
Just perusing the observations in southeast Arizona. I find many gusts of 45 to 55 mph east and northeast of Tucson. However, of note is an outflow gust of 70 mph at the Horse Camp Canyon RAWS site at 8:02 pm MST and Mike Luethold reports gusts of 50 to 60 mph with power outages in the northeast part of metro Tucson - this at 9:12 pm MST. Warm winds here at house with CG lightning visible from north to northeast.
