The NHC has named Amanda this morning, making it the first tropical storm of the eastern Pacific, 2014 season - see above. Below is a visible image of the storm at 8 am MST this morning. At the bottom is the current NHC forecast that indicates the storm becoming a hurricane by Monday morning.
