A BLOG ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WEATHER, Welcome to the MadWeather Blog! We have two basic rules for this blog:
WEATHER FORECASTING & OBSERVING, AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS
(1) Debate and discussion should be civil.
(2) Because public discussion, regardless of the topic,
is not very effective if we don't know who is talking to whom,
MadWeather does not accept anonymous posts.

Chilly Morning For Mother's Day
Another chilly morning here in southeast Arizona. Note that Art Douglas reported that there were a number of freezing readings over in Cochise County yesterday morning. The morning low today - above from MesoWest - shows a couple of spots again below freezing, with lots of readings in the 30s in Cochise County and a few here in Pima County (looks like 33 F at the Empire RAWS station). Here at the house we had 41 F yesterday and 37 F this morning.
Meanwhile, folks at the Crazy Horse Memorial in the South Dakota Black Hills are still trying to clear away what appears to be a very significant late season snow event. BBBrrrrr!
