A BLOG ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WEATHER, Welcome to the MadWeather Blog! We have two basic rules for this blog:
WEATHER FORECASTING & OBSERVING, AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS
(1) Debate and discussion should be civil.
(2) Because public discussion, regardless of the topic,
is not very effective if we don't know who is talking to whom,
MadWeather does not accept anonymous posts.

TD Three-E, Soon To Be TS Carlos
Tropical Depression Three-E has been declared by the NHC. The 2145 UTC visible satellite image above shows that the system is well organized already and visible loops show it to be spinning vigorously. It will soon be, if not already, Tropical Storm Carlos. The forecast below seems fairly strange with Carlos indicated to approach very close to land but also to intensify to hurricane strength. Will be very interesting to watch how this forecast verifies.
