A BLOG ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WEATHER, Welcome to the MadWeather Blog! We have two basic rules for this blog:
WEATHER FORECASTING & OBSERVING, AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS
(1) Debate and discussion should be civil.
(2) Because public discussion, regardless of the topic,
is not very effective if we don't know who is talking to whom,
MadWeather does not accept anonymous posts.

Wet Week Next Week?
The high PW air has not shifted very far south and the global forecast models are forecasting a quick return northward, as a subtropical disturbance moves along west of Baja. These two forecasts are from the operational member of the GFS model run at 00 UTC last evening. Forecast above is of PW valid at 5:00 pm MST on Sunday afternoon, September 20th. Forecast below is for total precipitation through 5:00 am on Thursday the 24th. If this model forecast verifies, all of the Southwest will have quite a wet week coming up.
