Hurricane Matthew Strengtening This Morning
After producing serious damage, deaths, and injuries over Haiti and eastern Cuba, Matthew is moving through the Bahamas this morning. Recon flights report that the hurricane is regaining some strength and it is expected to impact the Florida Coast as a Cat 4 storm - the strongest to approach Florida in a number of years. Shown above is the track and wind history of the hurricane to date, and below is this morning's latest track forecast from the NHC. Apparently several million people have been urged to evacuate coastal areas of east Florida, as the very dangerous storm approaches.
