A BLOG ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WEATHER, Welcome to the MadWeather Blog! We have two basic rules for this blog:
WEATHER FORECASTING & OBSERVING, AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS
(1) Debate and discussion should be civil.
(2) Because public discussion, regardless of the topic,
is not very effective if we don't know who is talking to whom,
MadWeather does not accept anonymous posts.

Warmer Again This Morning - Some Places
Temperatures this morning are much warmer, especially along I-10, than they were yesterday. Above plot shows observations from MesoWest at 06:00 am MST. Airport at this time was at 57 F (vs hour one grid forecast that was 10 F colder). Low at the airport was 55 F, about 13 F warmer than last evening's forecast. Here at the house it was calm at 06:00 am and the temperature was 36 F (not much different than yesterday's low of 32 F). So, the winds are really the driver for this morning's very large temperature gradients - as per airport 21 F warmer than here.
