East winds during the night kept temperatures 15 to 20 F warmer than they were yesterday morning across the metro area, including TUS and DM. Surface plot above (from MesoWest) is for 06:00 am MST this morning. The WRF-NAM forecast made at 06:00 am yesterday morning at Atmo - below, valid at same time as observations above - picked up on the much warmer trend fairly accurately.
