Waiting For Rain
Fair and dry weather continues here in Tucson, where it's a waiting game for some possible rain in October. Mostly I just surfed webcams on Jack Hales' cam-wall this morning - link to right.
Catalinas this morning above; bottom three images are: snow flying at Henry's Lake, Idaho; fall color along south fork of Snake River; and sunrise at Cabo San Lucas.
As for model forecasts - the GFS and its ensemble forecast chances for rain extending into southern Arizona by next Tuesday into Wednesday. Forecast below of total precipitation is from 06 UTC run of the GFS and is valid from now through 06 UTC on October 16th. Perhaps a bit of hope that we'll see some rain by middle of month.
