The U.S. Open will begin this Thursday morning (June 13th) at Merion Golf Club just northwest of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - see map above. This morning's NAM forecasts indicate that it could be
quite a wet and windy start for the players. The above graphic shows forecasted 12-hour rainfall ending at 12 UTC Thursday morning and graphic below shows same for 00 UTC Thursday afternoon. Purples to reds are forecasts of 2 to 4+ inches. Let's hope that the big tents are well anchored.
