Cedar Creek Fire And WRF-GFS Forecast For Sunday
The Cedar Creek fire in Navajo County threatens Show Low with possible evacuation alerts issued for the town this afternoon.
Mike Leuthold pointed out the amazingly high temperatures being forecast at 2-m by the WRF-GFS model for this coming Sunday afternoon - Father's Day. These two forecasts are valid at 4:00 pm MST Sunday, with above being the 1.8 km grid forecast and below being the regional view on the 5.4 km grid. Good grief, what a forecast!
