A BLOG ABOUT SOUTHWESTERN WEATHER, Welcome to the MadWeather Blog! We have two basic rules for this blog:
WEATHER FORECASTING & OBSERVING, AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS
(1) Debate and discussion should be civil.
(2) Because public discussion, regardless of the topic,
is not very effective if we don't know who is talking to whom,
MadWeather does not accept anonymous posts.

Off Topic - Bird Watching
Was another cool and pleasant morning at sunrise and I took a number of photos of birds I saw while I walked along the Rillito. Above is a pair of what I think are juvenile Red Tail Hawks. These two usually hunt together, or very close to each other, and are still hanging around their parents' nest, which is in a large gum tree right at the end of Cactus at the wash. At bottom is a Vermilion Fly Catcher perched in a bright green mesquite tree.
