Partial rainbow yesterday evening (Saturday Sept. 19, 2009) over the Catalinas. There were isolated thunderstorms over the mountains yesterday and 1 ALERT station of 93 had measurable rainfall. TS Marty turned westward and was only able to push subtropical moisture about 2/3rds of the way up the Gulf of California. Will continue to monitor the low latitudes in hopes of a rain-making tropical system.
