Another MCS This Morning (6 June 2014)



There was another early morning MCS today - this one centered over Oklahoma by early morning. The IR images above are for 1115 UTC (top) and 1315 UTC (just above). The actual evolution of the internal convective structures was very complicated during the nighttime hours with several areas of intense convection interacting. The radar images below are from 11 UTC top and 14 UTC bottom. Eventually there was essentially a leading line/trailing stratiform system after sunrise.
