Warm With Windy Periods This Week

Some problems with the blog program this morning - so this sequence is opposite of what I'd planned, but no time to redo. Images here are from Denver with birds of some kind (above) and nice sunrise colors at Salt Lake City (below) this morning.

Morning forecast through Wednesday from TUS NWS this morning - note the gusts as high as 37 mph on Wednesday afternoon. This fits with the 06 UTC forecasts from the GFS of steady wind speeds (below). The warm weather continues - second below is GEFS member forecasts for temperature this week. Remember the cool bias when comparing with the TUS temperature forecasts.

Finally, there were some very light showers around, mostly to our east, yesterday afternoon and above graphic shows rainfall reports from MesoWest for 24-hours ending at 6:00 am MST this morning. Plot of detected CG flashes (below for 24-hours ending at 1:00 am this morning) shows there were also some thunderstorms from northeastern Pinal County into the White Mountains.
