Fall Color In Grasslands Southeast Of Tucson

We have been at Santa Rita Abbey the past two days and there was still some nice Fall color around Sonoita. Because of the unusually cold October, some deciduous trees have already dropped their leaves. The trees above and below are not natives, and I'm not sure what they are - except that they are not cottonwoods, which were already fairly bare.

Photo below is looking east from the Abbey across the south end of the Las Cienegas grasslands toward a formation that is at the south end of the Whetstone Mountains and just north of Arizona highway 82.
