Off Topic - Our Panther Peak Outing

Last Saturday we went to a pamphlet making workshop at Mark Anderson's Panther Peak Bindery - his photo of Panther Peak below. Getting to the bindery is half the fun, given the beautiful drive through Picture Rocks area and the north end of Saguaro National Park West. Walk-in customers not too likely out here in the desert at west and north end of the Tucson Mountains.

The class was very interesting and involved painting colorful designs on paper that would eventually become the "covers" of 10-page, stitched-binding pamphlets. Katie is shown above working on one of her sea-green masterpieces, Below shows the final  products at the end of the workshop. Definitely an enjoyable change-of-pace day. I'll eventually get a more detailed post up at Squid Ink Spots blog.
