Isolated Storms

View toward Redington Pass at 5:50 am MST this morning.


Plot of detected CG flashes through 0903 UTC this morning (from Atmo and Vaisala) indictes some thunderstorms in eastern Pima County. However, there is basically a donut hole over mush of the metro area.


Precipitation reports from Univ. of Utah MesoWest (above for 24 hours ending at 8:00 am this morning shows some rainfall in the northeast foothills. Note that the 0.01" report nrtheast of airport appears to be bad data.

Plumes for QPF at the airport (above) from the 06 UTC GEFS indicate an active weekend.

Forecast from the 12 UTC WRF-RR (below) indicates light showers across much of eastern Pima County through 6:00 am tomorrow morning.
