Scattered Showers

Bright lightning flashes over the Catalinas a bit after dark yesterday. Plot of detected CG falshes (from Atmo and Vaisala) through 0703 UTC this morning (below) shows one very active cluster over the Catalinas and foothills.

There was thunder here house, but no rain; airport and DM both had thunder and a Trace.

ALERT data for 24 hours ending at 8:00 am MST (above and below) shows most rainfall over southern foothills and the Catalinas.


The 06 UTC WRF-GFS (above forecast through midnigh) forecast shows a large donut hole over most of the metro area .


Current morning forecast from the NWS for the airport (above) and accompaning graphic below - indicating high POPs today and tonight.
