More On Early February Freeze Damage
There have been some headlines, mostly focused on "expect large price increases for produce," about the extensive crop damage that occurred in Sinaloa and Sonora, Mexico, during the extreme early February freeze over southwestern North America. However, the above photos (circulated from Dept. of Agriculture at U of A) of the crop destruction are quite graphic. Corn field at top and tomato field bottom after the freeze (location is either southern Sonora or very north part of Sinaloa).
