Brief Summary - June, July, and August

Here at the house, summer 2011 can be summed up as dry and hot,
with a lot of dusty outflows observed.

Rainfall: June = 0.11"; July = 1.80"; August = 0.83"     Total = 2.74"
This is the third driest summer since my records here started in 1999.
One day, July 4th, accounted for 33% of the entire summer's rainfall, and
that rain fell in less than an hour.
Measurable rain fell on only 13 days.

Temperatures - High temperatures (at TUS NWS observing site) equalled
or exceeded 100F on 59 days.

Nice summer summary is now posted at the NWS Tucson website. Even the
airport had more summer rain than I measured here at the house.
