Christmas 2016

Yesterday's event was well-forecasted by models, even back when system was far off in north Pacific - quite amazing really. View above is at 03:00 pm yesterday and view below is an hour and a half later! The event here in the main metro area - second below - occurred basically from 04:30 pm MST until about 07:30 pm and that was it. Rain amounts were not great in the City (only 0.20" here) but the wind (generally 40 to 50 mph) and plunging temperatures were something. No snow in City - partly because event did not continue into the night,

Webcam view of Bisbee above (snow was pretty general at locales east of Tucson where elevations are a bit higher) but time is unknown. Kitt Peak was hard hit with snow and wind - view below from this morning. I saw one weather station on Kitt Peak measured winds of 70 mph yesterday afternoon as front approached.

Hope everyone who stops here has a great Holiday.
