Very Warm Week Coming Up

Colorful sunset yesterday, after a cloudy day. The gusty winds peaked at between 30 and 40 mph at most observations sites yesterday afternoon. The exposed RAWS station at Guthrie reported 49 mph. The observations at the 4 meter telescope structure on Kitt Peak (below) were the strongest I saw when I scanned observations, reaching 65 mph. However, I don't know details regarding the siting of this weather station, and the telescope structure may be amplifying the speeds.

Down at bottom are the 06 UTC GEFS plumes for QPF at TUS - 100% agreement among all the ensemble members and the operational GFS for a weather week that will be very warm and DRY.
