Heavy middle cloudiness over the Catalinas a bit before 09:00 am MST this morning. Visible satellite image below from 08:00 am shows that the cloud shield from the Pacific is quite extensive.
Weather story from NWS this morning continues the emphasis on gusty winds today. I see that winds at Kitt Peak have been gusting around 50 mph for past few hours.
The 10-m wind forecast above (from 06 UTC WRF-GFS run at Atmo) is valid at 02:00 pm this afternoon. Although PW is currently around 18 mm, the WRF forecast valid at midnight tonight indicates substantial drying during the day. Continued dry, itchy, and sneezy.
