Colorful skies over the Rincons at about 4:40 am MST this morning.
The NWS has issued a Red Flag warning for today (off to our east) and an Excessive Heat Watch for this weekend (see above).
The morning forecast today includes an Excessive Heat Warning for today and highs of 106 F today and 105 F tomorrow (above). This morning's upper-air sounding from TWC/TUS (below) shows several residual boundary layers (BLs) extending up to 500 mb!
