RE: the storms on Monday the 17th. I have been under the weather this week with a summer cold and haven't been out and about. This morning I was alerted that the winds had taken out about half the large mesquite tree in our front yard. Also learned the other day that a large Palo Verde (~ 40 ft or so) had gone down in the Ferner's yard, two doors away.
In this morning's post, I missed the observations at Mt. Hoplins, which had a severe thunderstorm with gusts to 62 and 66 mph at 8 and 9 pm last evening.
