More Hot And Dry

Pre-sunrise view of the Rincons this morning with a colorful patch of middle clouds.

Plot of detected CG flashes (from Atmo and Vaisala) for 24-hours ending at 0103 am MST this morning (above) shows almost no thunderstorm activity in Arizona, western New Mexico, and northern Mexico.

Forecast below (from 00 UTC WRF-GFS for coming week) indicates no precipitation over Arizona, except for very light showers over eastern mountains. Temperatures are forecast to continue with afternoon highs in the 105 to 110 F range here in the metro area. Fourth of July will be hot and dry, unlike like year when there were showers around our area.
