Summary For Friday the 13th

Well, what a miserable day for thunderstorm watchers! Top image is current TWC sounding (although it is too dry by more than 7 mm, that is all moisture gone missing below 650 mb). It is a great proximity sounding for cumulus pancakeus. The current radar composite (bottom) shows an almost complete lack of radar echoes, of any intensity, over all of Arizona. Most notable today is the continually bad ground clutter around KIWA. Here's hoping the second half of August isn't worse than the first half. A good weekend to all who stop in here.
