A rain band, aligned along I-10 and zipping rapidly to the east, has produced the first rain sprinkles of the past 25 days here at the house. Light showers at sunrise and a Trace at 7 am MST. Very nice to smell rain in the air. Heavy cloud clover kept the morning low at a mild 43F. The big weather change has indeed begun - quite amazing long-term numerical forecasts from several hundred hours ago!
