Hot And Dry

Some puffy cumulus over the Catalinas at 6:40 am MST this morning; at bottom is view of sunrise at Silver City, New Mexico.

Little on the weather horizon other than warm temperatures and a bit of wind. Plumes from 06 UTC GEFS above for temperature this week indicate warm to hot temperatures (remember there's about a 5 F cool bias in these forecasts). The plumes for wind (below) indicate several days in the coming week with steady winds of 20 mph, or bit higher. So, some more gusty winds likely - today and toward next weekend. Forecast from the 06 UTC WRF-GFS (second below) indicates westerly winds around 20 to 25 mph this afternoon.
