Stormy Evening And Night

Thunderstorms started here at house around 6:15 pm MST yesterday and continued well into the night. Bright CG flash above, looking toward the Catalinas at about 2:45 am, produced a long rumble of thunder here.

Rainfall was widespread across the ALERT Network (above and below) for 24-hours ending at 8:00 am this morning. Note the many reports of an inch or more (35 sites) and several sites with two inches or more (6 sites). Here at house we had only 0.49". That was still the second highest single event of the entire year, exceeded only by the 0.79" that fell on January 8th. DM reported 1.01"; TUS had 0.78" and Atmo logged in with 0.36".

Current morning forecast for TUS (below) calls for another stormy day.
