There is an amzing, strong temperature gradient present this morning over west Texas and eastern New Mexico. Just grabbed the above surface plot from NCAR RAL/RAP. I see one station in the Big Bend with 81 F and to the north, Clayton, New Mexico, has moderate snow and 4 F.
