It appears that the first tropical storm of 2012 is developing, well before the start of the "official" Hurricane Season (June 1st). A visible image of TD ONE-E at 2 pm MST is shown above, and the NHC forecast is shown below. Statements from NHC indicate that system is near Tropical Storm strength and it is forecast to intensify with wind speeds reaching around 50 mph. The TS will be named Aletta. An early start for tropical activity in the Eastern Pacific.
