The Tucson NWS has a summary for the year 2013 up at its webpage - see http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/twc/climate/monthly/2013.php
Rainfall for 2013 at the airport (TUS) totaled 8.53 inches, which was 3.06 inches below normal. Here at the house the total was only 7.20 inches - the driest year of the 14 for which I have complete rainfall data. The three driest years at the house have been: 2013 - 7.20"; 2009 - 7.95"; and 2012 - 9.16". In contrast, the three wettest years here have been: 2008 - 15.87"; 2000 - 14.63"; and 2010 - 14.48". The wettest years have about double the rainfall amount as do the dry years - somewhat typical for our desert climate where high variability is a dominant character of the annual cycle.
Ron Holle reports from Oro Valley (a few miles northwest of here and off the west end of the Catalinas):
Bob-
I
had 12.13 inches here in 2013, which is close to our typically–quoted
value of 12 inches. June-July-August-Sept. was 5.79 inches, just about
half. That 2.69” event in November helped a lot!
