Evening TWC Sounding


This evening's TWC sounding (top image) indicates that there is absolutely no CAPE at low elevations. However, the flawed RRS sonde data are an amazing 8+ mm too dry, when compared to GPS precipitable water (bottom image). So, where is the missing PW? Does it result in a sounding with CAPE, if it could be accurately restored? Note that recent 00Z soundings have been very bad wrt PW when compared to GPS values. So it goes in the RRS era. Do these bad data impact short-term forecasting? Does a bear............
