September Rainfall

Here are the September rainfall totals from the ALERT network - large range, as usual, with amounts varying from less than a quarter of an inch to over four inches. Here at house we had 1.49", which is around the median September amount since 1999.

There was measurable rain on 6 days; the 0.85" on the 5th was almost 60% of the month's total. I recorded thunder on only two days (again a bit of uncertainty here); the storm on the 5th brought gusty winds that I estimated up to 50 mph.
