The
Innovation Portal--a dynamic environment to facilitate idea
sharing, innovation and collaboration. The Innovation
Portal provides a common, virtual, interactive environment for
field developers, meteorologists, other NOAA/NWS personnel, and
ultimately partners to collaborate and exchange innovative
ideas, concepts, research, and science and technology
information at any time and from any geographical location or
time zone. Thus, the Innovation Portal allows for ideas and
concepts to leverage the expertise and resources of different
offices and innovators at minimal cost. The Innovation Portal
spans from idea creation to development and implementation to
help transition concepts from research to operations and to
improve innovative outcomes and future NWS services.
