John Jeffries, a Boston physician and
scientist, is sometimes said to be the country's first “weatherman.” He was born on February
5th in 1744, and, in his honor, today is National Weatherperson’s Day.
However, more people are probably aware that this is also National Pancake Day. For the eighth year, IHOP restaurants are offering a free stack of buttermilk pancakes today from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
