Northeast Storm Named Nemo by TWC
The Weather Channel has named the forecast big Northeast storm Nemo. The cyclone, assuming it comes together as forecast by the models, will bring a serious snowstorm to much of the Northeast. This naming of winter storms is something the Weather Channel is doing for the PR hype.
Below is the 8 am MST surface analysis from the NWS HPC. Where is Nemo if you want to track him? Too soon - Nemo's not on the map yet. The storm is expected to develop on Friday as short waves in the southern and northern streams merge and a deep low develops rapidly along the East Coast.
