Light Showers Parts Of Metro Yesterday
Light showers occured over parts of the area yesterday during the period from about 4:00 to 7:00 pm MST (radar above composite echoes from TUS radar at 5:00 pm). TUS recorded 0.01", but DM and Atom had 0.00; here it was perhaps a marginal 0.01".
Only 14 of ~100 sites in the ALERT network (below) measured 0.04" or more, with a couple of Catalina Mountain sites recording just over a quarter of an inch.
The three plots here (above and 2 below) are from MesoWest networks (MesoWest includes "official" gauges plus many reports from individuals' weather stations. These maps show a patchwork of measurable amounts: some in Oro Valley area, some around Oracle, and some around the airport. I suspect that many more places had a Trace, as the showers went by.
