Today I found time to process the full 2016 weather data set from the University Of Arizona's Atmospheric Sciences Dept. weather station. The important results, regarding temperature and precipitation are the following:

Minimum temperature in 2016, 28.2 F (-2.1 C)
Average temperature in 2016, 71.9 F ( 22.2 C)
Maximum temperature in 2016, 114.1 F ( 45.6 C)

First day with maximum daily temperature above 100 F (~38 C) was June 2nd, 2016.

Last day the maximum daily temperature was above 100 F (~38 C) was September 5th, 2016.

Number of days with maximum temperature above 100 F (~38 C) was 58 days.

Total Precipitation in 2016 at University of Arizona was 13.6" (344.6 mm).

Total Precipitation in 2016 at my (northeast metro area) weather station was 18.4" (467.6 mm).
