A Report From Up North

A storm report from up north. The ring of fire set up late afternoon nicely on doppler radar. Gila County had repeated activity with heavy rainfall and pea size hail reported. Spotters also called in with wind gusts over 50 mph, downed fences and an isolated dust storm.

Measurable rain totals were observed across much of Maricopa County even though the corridor along I-17 remained dry. The Southern portion of the county had the highest totals with 1.30 inches at Watermans Wash falling from 2115 to 2200. Check out FCDs website for rainfall amounts:

At Sky Harbor Airport, the precip sensor is showing a minimum of 0.03 inches of precip from last night's activity and ponding remains scattered along the tarmack.
