December Begins Warm And Dry

The Christmas decorations are up at the Prescott Courthouse Square (not a great view since the lens seems to be dirty). Image down at bottom shows spectacular sunrise colors this morning at Reno, Nevada.

The first week of December has been warm and dry - only a few periods of high cloudiness, so the Fall drought continues into the first week of meteorological Winter. However, the forecasts are indicating chances for a bit of rain by the weekend. Above is this morning's forecast for the airport Thursday through Friday showing high probabilities of rain for Thursday night and Friday morning.

This follows the GEFS plumes below for QPF and T - current forecast lows at airport ( a relatively warm location) are 37 and 38 F on Friday and Saturday mornings. It may be near freezing across colder locales in the metro area.
