Two of the special soundings taken at midday today because of the severe thunderstorms in the western Plains. Both of above have strongly super-adiabatic layers aloft. This is a recurrent problem with the NWS RRS soundings that impacts the value of some computed severe storm parameters - for example, CAPE in the LBF (bottom) sounding.
